Remove the inner timing cover and intermediate gear
hub. Socket 12 mm.
Remove the crankshaft gear with puller 999 2658.
Use tool 884 895 as a counterhold.

Remove camshaft pressure washer and carefully
withdraw the camshaft. Socket 12 mm.

Remove the flywheel. Use tool 884 895 as a counter-
hold. Socket 19 mm.
NOTE! To minimize the risk of damage to the RPM
sensor (44/300 series) it should be removed before
the flywheel is removed.

Remove the inner flywheel cover. Socket 14 mm.

Remove the connecting rod cap and press out the
pistons Take care not to damage the piston cooling
nozzles. Socket 17 mm.
