The VTech Bubble Time Turtle is an interactive bath toy designed to entertain children with bubbles, music, and sounds. This cute turtle-shaped device is engineered to magically release bubbles in time with its musical and sound effects, creating an engaging play experience during bath time. It features two strong suction cups on its back, allowing it to be easily attached to the side of the bath or bathroom wall, ensuring stability during play.

Function Description

The primary function of the Bubble Time Turtle is to create bubbles while playing sing-along songs and melodies. It incorporates two interactive buttons: a Clown Fish Button and a Starfish Button. Pressing these buttons introduces children to clown fish and starfish, respectively, while activating sing-along songs, fun sounds, and melodies. The device also includes a bubble machine feature that produces a continuous stream of bubbles synchronized with the audio.

The toy is designed to be waterproof for its intended use on the side of the bath. The battery compartment door is securely locked to prevent water from entering the electronics. While the unit is verified to be submerged underwater to a depth of 15cm for 30 minutes, its bubble-forming capability is specifically designed for use above water, on the wall of the bath.

Usage Features

On/Off Button: To turn the unit on, press the On/Off Button. It will play a song, two phrases, and sounds. To turn the unit off, press the On/Off Button again, and it will shut down after playing a short melody.
Automatic Shut-Off: To conserve battery life, the Bubble Time Turtle automatically shuts off after approximately 30 seconds of inactivity. It can be reactivated by pressing either the Clown Fish Button, the Starfish Button, or the On/Off Button.
Interactive Buttons: The Clown Fish Button and Starfish Button allow children to learn about these sea animals through sing-along songs, fun sounds, and melodies.
Bubble Machine: The turtle produces bubbles while playing its audio content, enhancing the sensory experience.
Secure Attachment: The two suction cups on the back of the turtle enable easy and secure attachment to a clean and dry bath or bathroom wall. For better suction, wetting the suction cups before attachment is recommended. The unit should be gently pulled to test the strength of the suction once attached. It's important to note that suction cups may not adhere properly to textured tiles.
Bubble Solution Filling: The bubble reservoir is filled by carefully pouring bubble solution into it, ensuring not to overfill beyond the indicated white line. The bottle cap can be used as a measure, with four capfuls typically filling the reservoir. Concentrated bubble solution is recommended for best results, and the solution should not be diluted.
Safe Placement: To prevent injuries, the Bubble Time Turtle should not be attached higher than a child's head height when they are sitting in the bath.

Maintenance Features

Removal from Wall: After each use, the unit should be removed from the wall by pulling the tab on the suction cup and gently pulling the turtle. This helps preserve the strength of the suction cups, which may weaken with prolonged use.
Cleaning: The unit should be kept clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
Storage: To prevent residue buildup in the bubble reservoir, it should be rinsed with warm water. All elements of the unit must be thoroughly dried before storage.
Sunlight and Heat: The unit should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
Battery Management: Batteries should be removed if the unit will not be in use for an extended period. Used batteries should be disposed of safely and not in fire.
Bubble Wand Care: The bubble wand should not be cleaned with cleaning products, as they may negatively impact the bubble effect.
Handling Precautions: Caution should be exercised when handling the unit when the reservoir is full of bubble solution, as spills can occur easily. If the unit is not used for an extended period, the bubble solution should be emptied from the reservoir, and the unit wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Adult Supervision: Adult supervision is required for battery installation and when using the bubble solution. Children should not play with the suction cups when the unit is fastened to the wall, as it may detach and cause injuries. The bubble wand should not be touched when the bubble motor is turned on.
Water Temperature: A thermometer should be used to check the water temperature before a child sits in the bath, as children have sensitive skin and can burn easily if the water is too hot.
Bubble Solution Quality: For best results, only high-quality bubble solution should be used. The bubble solution is not suitable for children under 36 months due to a choking hazard from aluminium foil under the bottle top, which must be removed and discarded safely by an adult before use.
