You can adjust the characteristics of the ‘note’ you’ve just selected by entering the following
digits:
8 Shortens the duration of the note (or rest).
9 Lengthens the note.
0 Inserts a rest (pause) of the same duration of the previous note.
*
Sets the octave for new notes.
# Makes the note a sharp.
Deletes the last note or rest you entered.
For example, ‘
Happy Birthday
’ would be composed by pressing the sequence:

1 1 2 1 5 4 0 0
1 1 1 * 6 * * 4 3 2 0 0

6. Press SELECT after you have finished composing your tune. Your choices
are now OPT (Option), PLAY, SAV (save), and DEL (Delete).
7. Using and , choose one of the 4 selections.
Choosing OPT (Option) allows you adjust the Tempo and the Instrument used to play your
tune. Tempo ranges from slowest (80) to fastest (225), with the default setting at 140.
Using or , select a tempo, then press SELECT.
Choosing INSTRUMENT, you have a choice of the following:
Grand Piano (the default setting) 01
Church Organ 02
Steel Guitar 03
Violin 04
Music Box 05
Soprano Sax 06
Pizzicato String 07
Flute 08
Using or until you select an instrument, press SELECT.
Choose the PLAY option to hear approximately 1 minute of your composition. Press OFF
to stop playback.
Choose SAV (Save) to save your composition. Choose DEL(Delete) to delete your
composition. Using the keypad, give your composition a name. You can use a maximum
of 8 characters.
Delete a Composed Tune
1 With the Handset Off, press PROG.
2 Using
or , scroll until the screen displays COMPOSER.
3 Press SELECT, then use
or to select the desired MELODY: .
4 Press SELECT. The screen will display
LOADING...followed by the final
‘note’ sequences of your composition. The number at the bottom of the
screen represents the difference between the total number of notes and
rests, and 99 (the maximum for any composed tune).
5 Press SELECT. Using
or , scroll until DEL is flashing.
6 Press SELECT. You’ll hear a confirmation beep. The composed tune has
been deleted, with the name being replaced by
{EMPTY _ }. You can
now compose a new tune in the empty location.

for entering on the
