  To register a new handset to your VTech Cordless Telephone, press and hold FIND HANDSET on the base unit for 10 seconds. When the IN USE light starts to flash, release the FIND HANDSET button. Place the handset in the base and press and hold FIND HANDSET on the telephone base for 4 seconds until the IN USE light is on, then release the button. The LCD screen on the telephone base will show, “HS REGISTERED”, and the handset will also show “HS REGISTERED” and beep once. When first purchased you need to charge your handsets for 5 minutes before registering to telephone base.
