Basic operation
Answering system operation
• Press PLAY/STOP /
to save and exit.
Customize the announcement only message
1. Press SETUP four times, the system announces “Announcement only. Record no messages. To
change the setting, press CHANGE ”.
2 Press
CHANGE until the system announces “On.”
3. Press
SETUP three times, the system announces “Announcement. Press PLAY or press RECORD.
To continue, press SETUP ”.
4. Press
REC/MEMO . The system announces, “Record after the tone. Press STOP when you are
done”. Speak toward the MIC on the base to record an announcement for up to 90 seconds.
5. The elapsed time (in seconds) will be shown in the message window as you record.
6. Press
PLAY/STOP / when you’ve nished recording. The system will play back your recorded
message then save it.
Base ringer
1. Press SETUP ve times, the system announces “Base ringer. To change the setting, press
CHANGE ”.
2. Press
CHANGE.
3. Press
CHANGE again until the desired base ringer sounds.
4. Press
SETUP to save your selection and advance to the next setup option, or press PLAY/STOP
/
to save and exit.
Toll saver
This function sets the number of rings before the answering system picks up the call. With the toll
saver setting activated, the answering system alerts you whether there are new messages when
calling remotely from a touch tone phone. If there are new messages on the answering system, the
system picks up the call after two rings. When retrieving messages from a location where long distance
