The VTOMAN V4000 is a jump starter designed for 12V vehicle batteries, offering a range of features for starting vehicles, charging devices, and providing illumination.

Function Description

The primary function of the VTOMAN V4000 is to jump-start 12V vehicles. It provides a starting current of 800A (for 3 seconds) and a peak current of 4000A, making it suitable for a variety of vehicles. Beyond jump-starting, the device also serves as a portable power bank, featuring a USB-C input/output port (5V/2A, 9V/2A) and a USB-A output port (5V/2.4A) for charging other electronic devices. An integrated LED flashlight offers three modes: Normal, Strobe, and SOS, providing utility in various situations.

Usage Features

Charging the V4000: The V4000 can be charged using the provided Type-C cable and wall charger. For the maximum 18W input function, a QC3.0 wall charger or QC3.0 car charger (purchased separately) is required. The battery indicator LEDs will blink during charging, with solid LEDs indicating charged segments. All indicators turn off automatically when charging is complete.

Battery Indicator: Pressing the power button displays the battery level:

• Unlit: 0%
• 1 Solid: 25%
• 2 Solid: 50%
• 3 Solid: 75%
• 4 Solid: 100%

Starting a 12V Vehicle:

1. Ensure the V4000 has at least 2 bars of battery power.
2. Connect the battery clamps to the vehicle battery correctly (red to positive, black to negative). Do not press the "BOOST" button before connecting.
3. A solid green LED indicator signifies a correct connection.
4. Start the vehicle engine.
5. If the vehicle battery voltage is too low or the battery may be damaged, press the "BOOST" button for 2-3 seconds until the green LED illuminates solid, then start the vehicle within 30 seconds.

LED Indicator Feedback during Jump Starting:

• Green LED (solid): Connection is correct, vehicle can be started directly.
• Red LED + Beeping: Reverse connection, correct the polarity of battery clamps.
• Green LED (blinks) with beeping: Vehicle battery voltage is too low. Press "BOOST" button for 2-3 seconds until green LED is solid, then start within 30 seconds.
• NO Light, NO Beeping: Vehicle battery may be damaged. Ensure correct connection, then press "BOOST" button for 2-3 seconds until green LED is solid, then start within 30 seconds.
• Green + Red LED (blinks): Safe mode activated due to more than 4 non-stop starts within 10 minutes. Stop starting the vehicle; safe mode will clear after 10 minutes.

LED Flashlight: Power on the unit, then press the power button for 2-3 seconds to turn on the LED light. Lightly pressing the button cycles through Normal, Strobe, SOS, and Off modes.

Automatic Shut-off: The unit automatically turns off after 10 seconds of inactivity (no load). When charging other devices, it may shut off in 10 seconds if the load current is less than 200mA, as there is a minimum load current limitation.

Charging Other Devices: The V4000 can charge other devices via its USB-A and USB-C ports. It can also charge other devices while being charged itself. However, it cannot charge other devices while starting a vehicle.

Maintenance Features

Storage and Recharging: To prevent over-discharge, the unit should be recharged regularly, ideally every 3 months. Avoid storing the device in temperatures exceeding 60°C (140°F), especially in a vehicle parked in hot weather, as this can damage the battery cells.

General Safety Precautions:

• Read the user manual carefully before use.
• Do not allow unsupervised individuals without proper knowledge to operate the device.
• Keep away from children.
• Only use with 12V vehicle batteries; do not use with non-12V batteries or other machines like airplanes or ships.
• Do not use if any cable, clamp, or cord is damaged, or if the unit is overheated, swelled, or leaking fluid.
• Do not use as a vehicle battery or a battery charger.
• Do not use to start a vehicle while charging the internal battery.
• Only use the provided battery clamps and qualified charger.
• Ensure the blue plug of the jumper cable is fully plugged into the output port to prevent melting.
• Clean battery terminals before starting a vehicle to ensure good connection and optimal power output.
• Do not attempt to start a vehicle more than 4 times within 10 minutes. If the engine fails to start within 3 seconds, wait at least 30 seconds before trying again.
• Do not connect the jump starter's clamps in reverse after pressing the "BOOST" button.
• Use the unit to start a vehicle only when its battery power is more than 2 bars.
• Allow the product to cool for 30 minutes before recharging after starting a vehicle.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Do not operate in explosive environments.
• Do not modify or disassemble the machine; only service technicians should repair it.
• Do not expose to extreme heat or fire.
• Do not drop or squeeze the device. If damaged, have it inspected by a qualified battery technician.
• Only charge at ambient temperatures between -10°C and 45°C (14°F and 113°F).
• In case of liquid leakage, do not handle with bare hands. Wash skin immediately with soap and water if contact occurs. Rinse eyes with water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical help if liquid touches eyes.
• Dispose of the device according to local regulations at the end of its service life or if it leaks liquid.
