What to do if my Wabtec Ricon K2010 lift functions with abnormal operation?
    • J
      jennifer46Aug 10, 2025
If your Wabtec Lifting Systems lift is operating abnormally, first check for any obstructions in the lifting frame and remove them, inspecting for damage. Ensure the backup pump manual release valve is turned clockwise until slightly snug. Also, check that the hydraulic fluid level is at the required FULL level while the platform is at ground level, adding Texaco 01554 Aircraft Hydraulic Oil or equivalent U.S. mil spec H5606G fluid if needed. Finally, purge the hydraulic system by operating the lift through its maximum range of travel for at least four complete cycles. If the vehicle doesn't use the full travel of the lift, raise the vehicle on a service hoist or ramp to accomplish the maximum range of travel.

If your Wabtec Lifting Systems lift is not operating, start by resetting the control system circuit breaker. Ensure the backup pump manual release valve is turned clockwise until slightly snug. Check that the hydraulic fluid level is at the required FULL level while the platform is at ground level, adding Texaco 01554 Aircraft Hydraulic Oil or equivalent U.S. mil spec H5606G fluid if needed. Purge the hydraulic system by operating the lift through its maximum range of travel for at least four complete cycles. (For vehicles that do not use full travel of lift, the maximum range of travel is accomplished by raising vehicle on a service hoist or ramp.) For hydraulic hose or fitting leaks, contact an authorized Vapor Ricon dealer for repair.
