use of power tools for purposes other than the intended ones can lead to dangerous
situations.
5. Service
a) Have your tool repaired only by qualied specialist personnel and only with
original spare parts. This ensures that the tool safety is maintained.
b) If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or it’s
service agent or a similarly qualied person in order to avoid a safety hazard.
Safety Instructions for heat guns
Risk of burn injury. The gun reaches a temperature of 590°C without
producing a ame. The metal nozzle and objects being worked on become
extremely hot. Individual workpieces should be secured e.g. in a vice. Do
not touch heated objects.
Risk of burn injury. When the gun is being used in hands-o condition,
never bend over it and always keep the hands well clear of the heated
zone or use a clamping device to hold the workpiece.

Never use the heat gun us a hair dryer. Do not point it at people or animals. To be on
the safe side, have a bucket of water or a re extinguisher handy in case any article or
material catches re.
•
The heat gun should never be left unsupervised at any time; even when cooling
down.
•
A re hazard may exist if used incorrectly.
•
Depending on the application, explosive or toxic gases may be generated.
•
For cooling after use always place the heat gun on the integral backrest (see g. 2).
•
Allow the gun to cool before installing or removing accessories.
•
Do not direct the heat gun at one object for an extended period. During use
additional care should be taken for any hidden materials.
•
Discharged hot air must be able to ow o freely at all times. Never obstruct the
nozzle or any accessory. Do not reduce the size of the nozzle and use only Wagner
accessories.
•
Make provision for adequate ventilation and the escape of fumes.
•
Never work near ammable or combustible materials, liquids or gases. Substrates can
catch re.
•
Before working on sensitive materials, surfaces or substrates, carry out a trial to
determine whether the heat treatment can be undertaken without causing damage.
If possible, check the feasibility of heat treatment with the manufacturer of the object.
When working in the vicinity of glass, protect it with a heat shield. In every case,
ensure that the operating temperature is correct for the job in hand.
•
Never cover or close o the ventilation slots when the gun is in use. Do not use it in a
humid atmosphere or in the rain. For use in hands-o condition, place the gun on a
clean, dust-free surface, otherwise contaminants may be drawn in, causing damage.
Arrange the cable in such a way that no one can trip over it.
•
Always allow the gun to cool to room temperature before taking a work-break or
putting the gun away.
•
The tool must not be kept or left outdoors.
