SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS
REPLACING/REPAIRING - ALL MODELS
Model MS, MW, MB, MC, MT
Model MD
All Models
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS use genuine factory replace-
ment parts. Substitute parts CAN result in product mal-
function and possible injury to the operator and/or
others.
Drive Belts - Model MC, MT, MTL
There are four (4) individual belts on GHS models or
three (3) belts on SD models:
Engine PTO Drive Belt (3 Groove Power Band)
Jackshaft Drive Belt
GHS Blower Drive Belt (GHS Model Only)
Hydrostatic Ground Drive Belt
Drive Belts - Model MD
There are five (5) individual belts on GHS models or
four (4) belts on SD models:
Engine PTO Drive Belt (3 Groove Power Band)
Jackshaft Drive Belt
GHS Blower Drive Belt (GHS Model Only)
Hydrostatic Ground Drive Belt
Engine Fan Belt
Drive Belts - Model MS
There are three (3) individual belts on the machine:
Engine Belt
PTO Drive Belt
Ground Drive Belt
Drive Belts - Model MW
There are two (2) individual belts:
Ground Drive Belt
PTO Drive Belt (3 Groove Power Band)
Drive Belts - Model MB
There are three (3) individual belts on the machine:
Engine/PTO Belt (matched pair)
Ground Drive Belt
All Models
The belts may be removed and replaced using the pro-
cedures described on the following pages.
DANGER
To prevent accidental starting of the en-
gine when replacing parts or repairing the
machine, remove the key from the ignition
switch and disconnect the spark plug
wire(s).
DANGER
To prevent accidental starting of the en-
gine when replacing parts or repairing the
machine, remove the key from the ignition
switch and disconnect the electrical plug
on the fuel shut-off solenoid.
