What to do if my Watlow QPAC-01 Control Unit has no output?
    • S
      Sandra GrahamAug 11, 2025
If your Watlow Control Unit has no output, there are several potential causes. First, check and replace any blown fuses. Also, check the transformer connections. The SCR(s) will not function without a load, so ensure the load wiring is correctly connected. Finally, verify the temperature control output is correct.

What to do if Watlow QPAC-01 Control Unit output is uncontrolled full ON?
    • D
      David LoganAug 20, 2025
If the output of your Watlow Control Unit is uncontrollably full ON, the issue might stem from several components. Try unplugging the control card and check if the issue persists. Also, unplug the transformer wire and try again. If full ON or half ON output is still present with no control card and no transformer, the power base is likely faulty and needs replacement.

What to do if heatsink temperature exceeded 187°F (86°C) in Watlow Control Unit?
    • T
      Todd PattonSep 3, 2025
If the heatsink temperature of your Watlow Control Unit exceeds 187°F (86°C), the issue might be a clogged or non-operational fan. Check the fan and its power supply, and clean it if necessary. Also, check for a shorted thermostat and replace the fan or thermostat as needed. Note that the #27-0005 thermostat is normally open and closes when the temperature rises.
