Unpacking PowerKit
After the diesel engine is unpacked, the user shall first check the diesel engine and its
accessories as per the delivery packing list, and check the engine appearance for
damage and loose connections before carrying out the following tasks:
Check the water plug and oil plug, check for water temperature and oil temperature
sensors, and ensure that all parts to be self-provided are completely fitted.
Note:
Do not start the diesel engine before it’s correctly installed and connected in its
final position. When the diesel engine is running in an enclosed environment, keep
well ventilated to ensure that the exhaust gas is expelled to the open air.
Adding of engine oil
1) Before opening the oil filler cap and adding
engine oil, ensure that the engine has
stopped and let the engine cool down.
2) Place the diesel engine at a level position
and withdraw the oil dipstick to check the oil
level.
Adding of fuel
1) The diesel fuel used shall meet the specification in this manual. (Section G40)
2) The diesel fuel used must be clean. It's recommended to leave the diesel fuel
stationary for more than 72 hours before filling. The diesel fuel shall be added
into the fuel tank via the built-in filter screen.
Air bleeding of fuel system
1) Loosen the air bleeding screw on the fuel
filter. Feed the electrical fuel priming pump
with fuel, until the diesel fuel overflows, and
then tighten the screw.
