Normal clamping
Installation:
1. Remove dirt and resin from clamping ledges and
mount.
2. Fit clamping ledges.
3. Press cutter against springs and clamp into place
with middle screw.
4. Adjust cutter with the aid of the setting device.
5. Tighten the clamping screws from the middle
outwards.
Use an angled Allen key with shank to tighten the
clamping screws uniformly (extensions and striking tools
must not be used!)
Tightening torque of the clamping screws:
M 10: 25 – 26 Nm
M 12: 30 – 33 Nm
3.4.7 Grinding
The cutters are ground either outside the cutterhead or
when clamped on a suitable Weinig grinder for cutters.
3.4.8 Technical data
Tool body of high-strength steel or aluminium
Fitted with 2 or 4 straight cutters
Dimensions: 3 x 30 mm
Optionally fitted with HSS, stellite or carbide
Non-positive (frictional) clamping of the cutters
Hardened clamping ledges with ground clamping
area
Cutting angle: 12° / 27°
Cutter cutting circle dia. 125 or 140 mm
Max. speed: n = 9,000 rpm

Never tension the complete cutter groove in
one operation, otherwise the tool could
become deformed.
Do not use damaged Allen keys or keys on
which the hexagon head has become round,
as this may result in damage to the clamping
screws.
