Normal clamping
3.4.6 Removing and fitting the cutters
Removal:
1. Clean the clamping screws in the cutterhead before
removing the cutters.
2. Undo the clamping screws on the cutterhead,
working from the outside inwards.
3. Press against the planing knife with a piece of hard
wood (2) when undoing the last clamping screw.
4. Remove the cutter and clamping ledge.
Planing knives have compression springs
behind the cutters which press the cutter
upwards.
Care must be taken when undoing the last
clamping screw, as the planing knife (1) may
suddenly spring up out of the mount.
