What to do if my Wen 4225 logs will not split?
- SSean JacksonAug 9, 2025
If your Wen Log Splitter is not splitting logs, several factors could be at play. First, ensure your extension cord is a 12 or 14 AWG gauge and no longer than 25 feet. Make sure the log is correctly positioned on the worktable. The log's size, hardness, or density might exceed the splitter's capacity, so reduce the log size. Check if the splitting wedge is blunt or dull and sharpen it if necessary. Also, verify that the bleed screw is loosened one or two turns and that the hydraulic fluid level is sufficient. If the maximum pressure limiting adjustment setting has changed, contact a trained service Technician at 1-800-232-1195.
