Why won't my Westinghouse Portable Generator start?

If your Westinghouse Portable Generator won't start or stay running, make sure the fuel shutoff valve is in the ON position and that the generator has gasoline. Inspect and clean the fuel delivery passages to ensure there are no obstructions. If you have an electric start model, check the battery output and charge it if necessary. Also, check and clean the air filter. Ensure the oil level is sufficient, adding oil if needed. Verify the spark plug boot is fully engaged with the spark plug tip, and inspect the spark plug itself, replacing it if faulty. Lastly, drain any stale fuel and replace it with fresh fuel. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the generator may have a fault and should be taken to an authorized service dealer.
