4. The WD configuration may be corrupted. In such a case, replace the WD and return the
faulty unit to your local representative.
3.1.5 WH/WD Communication Is Temporarily Suspended
1. If communications are suspended and acknowledgements are not received by the WH,
or the WD does not react (LEDs flashing), reopen the session between the WD and the
WH.
3.1.6 Representation on the WD Is Unusually Slow
1. This is usually caused by a temporary impediment to the wireless signal caused by an
obstacle blocking the signal (e.g. a parked vehicle).
2. If the obstacle cannot be identified or moved, add another WR to create an alternative
path. The Tx LED of the WD flashes more frequently than usual in such cases indicating
that the WD is retrying too many times.
3. Another alternative is to add an external antenna to the WD, positioning the antenna
outside the obstacle angle. Also, try to move the WG/WR or move the antenna
accordingly.
3.1.7 WD Reacts but Does not Return an Acknowledgement to WH
1. Verify that the WH is joined to the same Network as the WD.
2. Verify that the ZigBee network is working properly. Check the WG LEDs:
a. Mode ON and GATEWAY = ON
b. Wireless NET =ON
Without ZigBee network support, the WH can use only one way communications on the Low
Frequency (LF) channel (from WH to WD). Thus no acknowledgement from the Wireless Device
can be received. Only an WH operating in the same wireless network as the WD can receive
acknowledgements from the designated WD.
3.1.8 The WD Name or Setting Is not Displayed on the WMS
If a WD is automatically moved to the current network from a shutdown or out-of-reach
network, the WD then will only send settings and will not update its name.
To reset the WD to allow it to send its name to the WMS, perform the following steps.
1. If the WMS was restarted on a new computer or the WMS database was erased or
corrupted, send a Group Report from the WMS to request all WDs and WG/WRs to report
their configurations.
2. If the previous step was unsuccessful or not applicable, power down (LEAVE) the WD and
power it up again (JOIN).
