The machine is equipped with a detergent dispenser with separate compartments for main wash detergent, prewash detergent, softener, and stain remover. It also includes a water filter to prevent blockages and ensure proper drainage. The appliance incorporates safety features such as a door lock during operation and a key lock function to prevent unintentional changes to settings.
Usage Features
The washing machine offers a variety of programs tailored for different fabric types and soil levels:
- Mixed: For lightly to normally soiled resilient garments in cotton, linen, synthetic, and mixed fibers.
- White: For normally to heavily soiled towels, underwear, and bed linen in resilient cotton and linen. A prewash phase is included when 90°C is selected, requiring detergent in both prewash and main wash compartments.
- Cotton: For normally to heavily soiled and robust cottons. The 40°C and 60°C settings are standard for energy and water efficiency.
- eCotton: Specifically for normally soiled cotton garments, offering efficient energy and water consumption.
- Sport: For lightly soiled sports clothing, recommending liquid detergent and half-load amounts.
- Duvet: For washing eiderdown padded items, suggesting liquid detergent and not exceeding 3/4 of the drum's volume.
- Jeans: Recommends turning garments inside-out and using liquid detergent.
- Spin & Drain: Spins the load and empties water; can be used for resilient garments or for draining only if spin is excluded.
- Rinse & Spin: Rinses and spins resilient garments.
- Rapid 30': A quick cycle for lightly soiled garments, saving time and energy.
- Colours 15°: Protects colors by washing in cold water, using less energy while providing satisfactory wash results for lightly soiled, unstained garments.
- Wool: For all wool garments, including "hand-wash only" items, recommending special detergents and respecting maximum load.
- Delicates: For particularly delicate garments, preferably turned inside out.
- Synthetics: For normally soiled garments made from synthetic fibers or cotton/synthetic blends.
Several options and functions enhance usability:
- ON/OFF: To switch the machine on or off.
- Start/Pause: To start, pause, or resume a program.
- Spin: Adjusts the spin speed.
- Intensive Rinse: Increases rinse efficiency for sensitive skin, allowing selection of 1, 2, or 3 additional rinses.
- Clean+: Offers three levels (Intensive, Daily, Fast) to adjust washing action based on soil level.
- Start Delay: Delays the program start time.
- FreshCare+: Enhances washing performance by generating steam to inhibit odors and performing gentle tumbling after the cycle, lasting up to 6 hours.
- Temperature: Adjusts the wash temperature.
- Key Lock: Locks the control panel to prevent accidental changes, especially by children.
- Bleaching: Instructions for adding bleach during the "Rinse & Spin" program.
- Demo Mode: A sales presentation function allowing interaction without water.
The machine provides display indicators for:
- Door locked: Indicates the door is secured.
- FreshCare+: Lights up when the FreshCare+ option is active.
- Start delay: Lights up when a delayed start is set.
- Key lock: Lights up when the control panel is locked.
- Washing phase indicator: Shows the current stage of the program (wash, rinse, drain).
- Call Service: Indicates a failure requiring technical assistance.
- Water filter clogged: Signals a blocked water filter.
- No water: Indicates insufficient or no water inlet.
Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the appliance's longevity and optimal performance:
- Cleaning the outside: Use a soft damp cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners on the control panel.
- Checking the water supply hose: Regularly inspect for brittleness or cracks and replace if damaged. For water stop hoses, check the safety valve inspection window.
- Cleaning the mesh filters in the water supply hose: Close the water tap, unscrew the inlet hose, remove and clean the mesh filters with a fine brush, then reassemble.
- Cleaning the detergent dispenser: Remove the dispenser by pressing the release button, detach the insert from the softener compartment, clean all parts under running water to remove residues, wipe dry, and reinstall.
- Cleaning the water filter / draining residual water: Switch off and unplug the machine. If a hot wash program was used, wait for the water to cool. Remove the kick panel, place a container underneath, slowly turn the filter counter-clockwise to drain water, clean residues, and then reinsert the filter.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a detailed troubleshooting guide for common issues like the machine not turning on, not filling with water, continuous loading/draining, not draining/spinning, excessive vibration, water leaks, error codes, and excessive foam.
- Door opening in case of failure: Instructions are provided for manually draining residual water and opening the door if it remains locked due to a power breakdown or machine failure.
