Water Filter Installation Instructions
Follow these simple instructions for your lter type.
1. Locate the lter head; in the upper right hand side of the refrigerator
compartment or in the machine compartment on built in refrigerator models.
2. During initial installation of the water lter, remove the bypass cap by a ¼ turn
counter clockwise, retain for later use. During replacement installation rotate
the used lter counter clockwise until it is released from the lter head. Twist
gently and do not pull. Note: there may be some water in the lter and some
spilling may occur.
3. Remove the new lter from the packaging. Remove the lter cap.
4. Lubricate the O-ring with food grade vegetable oil.
5. Line up the cartridge ears so it can be inserted into the lter head. Rotate the
lter cartridge ¼ turn clockwise.
6. Reduce water spurts by ushing air from the system. Run water continuously
for 4 gallons (approximately 5 minutes) through the dispenser until water runs
steady. Additional ushing may be required in some households where water is
of poor quality.
