Why won't my Whirlpool Air Conditioner start?
    • M
      marcus53Aug 7, 2025
Your Whirlpool Air Conditioner might not start because it's not properly plugged into a grounded, 3-prong outlet, or an extension cord is being used. Ensure the outlet has power by plugging in a lamp. Also, check the circuit breaker and fuses, and reset the power supply cord by pressing the RESET button until it latches (you should hear a click, and on some models, a green light will appear).

What to do if my Whirlpool Air Conditioner is freezing up?

      ashleyjensenAug 15, 2025
If your Whirlpool Air Conditioner is freezing up, which can block airflow and reduce cooling, set the Mode dial to high fan or high cool and the Temp dial to 1 or 2. You might need to turn off the unit to allow the ice to thaw before using it again.

What to do if my Whirlpool Air Conditioner blows fuses or trips circuit breakers?
    • J
      janiceromeroAug 30, 2025
If your Whirlpool Air Conditioner keeps blowing fuses or tripping circuit breakers, it could be due to several reasons. First, too many appliances might be on the same circuit; try unplugging or relocating some. Second, the wrong type of fuse or circuit breaker might be in use; replace it with a time-delay fuse or circuit breaker of the correct capacity. Finally, avoid restarting the air conditioner immediately after turning it off; wait at least 3 minutes before attempting to restart.
