      Carol JohnsonJul 30, 2025
If your White Rodgers Thermostat isn't producing heat, cool air, or running the fan, here are a few things to check: * Ensure that the fuse hasn't blown or the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. If it has, replace the fuse or reset the breaker. * Make sure the furnace power switch is turned to the 'ON' position. * Verify that the furnace blower compartment door or panel is correctly installed to engage the safety interlock or door switch. * Check for and tighten any loose connections to the thermostat or system.

Why does my White Rodgers 1F97-1271 Thermostat heat, cool, or fan run constantly?
    • S
      Sheila MaddenAug 19, 2025
If your White Rodgers thermostat's heat, cool, or fan runs constantly, consider these potential causes: 1. Check for a short in the wiring by examining each wire connection to ensure they are not shorted or touching. 2. Try resetting the thermostat to resolve a possible short in the thermostat. 3. If the fan switch is set to 'Fan ON', the system will run continuously. If the system operates correctly after making the changes, replace the thermostat.
