6. Commissioning, operation
6.2.1 Battery operation
Before the instrument can be operated with batteries, they must be inserted.
The CPG1200 has no charging function. If using rechargeable batteries,
they must be recharged in a battery charger.
The charging capacity of the battery reduces after some time due to
technical reasons.
When using batteries other than those included in the scope of delivery,
check whether the specified ambient conditions of the battery/rechargeable
battery match those of the instrument. Restrictions may occur due to the
operating conditions of the battery/rechargeable battery.
Due to different discharge curves, the battery level indicator may not match
the actual battery level indicator.
Damage to the instrument
To avoid possible damage to CPG1200 or to test equipment, note the following:
Always replace all three batteries together!
The battery cover must be closed and secured via three screws!
Ensure the correct polarity.
NEVER mix old and new batteries with each other.
NEVER mix alkaline batteries and rechargeable batteries with each other.
Make sure your hands are dry when inserting or replacing the batteries.
Inserting the battery
1. Lay the instrument face down.
2. Loosen the three screws of the battery compartment, see Fig. 1 “Position of the
battery compartment”.
3. Remove the battery cover.
4. Insert the three AA-sized batteries.
Make sure that the polarity, (+) or (-), on the batteries matches the markings in the
battery compartment.
Do not use damaged batteries and follow the battery manufacturer's instructions.
