Second, inspect the air inlet filter for any obstructions. Third, check for significant air leakage, which may indicate worn seals or bores in the air valve, pilot spool, or main shaft. Fourth, disassemble the pump to inspect for obstructions in the air passageways or any objects hindering the movement of internal parts. Fifth, if the material being pumped is incompatible with the pump elastomers, swelling may occur, so check for sticking ball check valves and replace them with proper elastomers.
