      Cynthia RobertsAug 18, 2025
If your Williams Heater isn't providing enough heat, it could be due to a couple of reasons: * The heater might be too small for the space you're trying to heat. Check the heat calculations to ensure it's appropriately sized. * The heater may not be burning at its full rate. Inspect for low gas pressure and check the burner orifice.

If your Williams Heater continues to run even after the room reaches the set temperature, there might be a few reasons: * The thermostat wiring could be defective, possibly shorted by a nail or staple. Try removing the thermostat leads from the valve terminals to check. * The thermostat's location may be the issue. Check if it's on an outside wall or if there's a hole behind it causing cold air to interfere. Relocate the thermostat if needed. * The thermostat itself could be defective. Consider checking its calibration or replacing it. * A defective valve could also be the cause, in which case replacing the valve is recommended.
