4 Intended use
ƒ The CIF modules are designed for external control and signalling of the operating
status of Wilo pumps.
ƒ The CIF modules are not designed for safe deactivation of the pump.

Risk of fatal electrical shock!
If used improperly, there is a risk of fatal injury due to electric shock!
• Never use the control inputs for safety functions.
• Never install the module in non-compatible devices.
4.1 Compatibility of the firmware
To ensure that the functions of the CIF module are available, the following firmware
versions (or higher) of the product in which the module is installed are required:

The firmware version (SW) can be called up via the settings/device settings/device
information menu.
The firmware can be updated with the “Wilo-Assistant” app.
