Usage Features

The DELTA 25" grinder is designed with several features to enhance its usability:

  • Handle Adjustment Latch: Allows operators to adjust the handle to a comfortable working position.
  • Parameter Setting Area: Provides a dedicated interface for setting and monitoring operational parameters.
  • Control Panel: Centralized controls for starting, stopping, and adjusting the machine's functions.
  • Emergency Stop Button: A critical safety feature that immediately halts machine operation in case of an emergency.
  • Water Controller: Manages the flow of water to the grinding heads, essential for wet grinding applications to control dust and cool the tools.
  • USB Port: For potential data transfer or software updates.
  • Tool Box: Convenient storage for tools and accessories.
  • Carry Pole: Facilitates easier transport and maneuverability of the machine.
  • Oil Drain Hole: For convenient oil changes.
  • Adjustable Grinding Bar: The height of the operating handle and the whole base can be pulled down to the best state.
  • Magnetic Bottom: The bottom of the machine is magnetic, which helps absorb the diamond tool or adapter that absorbs the adhesive resin grinding disc.
  • Indicator Light: The indicator light (on the back) is on after power-on, and the panel parameters are displayed normally.
  • Vacuum Cleaner Connection: For dry grinding, connect the vacuum cleaner and connect to the suction port to ensure that the suction pipe has no air leakage. If wet grinding, be sure to fill full the floor with water. Do not only wet the floor in order to reduce dust, so that the resistance during the flooding process is abnormal and the motor load is overloaded.
  • Start Switch and Run Low Speed: Turn on the start switch and run from low speed to high speed to see if the machine is running smoothly. The speed is adjusted according to the ground conditions, and the general condition is 300-1500 rpm.
  • Low Speed Operation: Do not polish at low speed, especially on extremely poor ground. Low speed may not work, thus causing the motor to overheat and burn out.
  • FWD/REV Switch: Start the machine with the FWD/REV switch.
  • Speed Control Knob: Slowly rotate the speed control knob to adjust the required construction speed and enter the normal grinding state.
  • Red Brake Button: If you encounter an emergency, immediately press the red brake button and the machine will stop working immediately.
  • Unplug Power Plug: After the grinding is finished, unplug the power plug after the machine is stopped.
  • Protect the Machine: When starting and stopping work, the operator must protect the machine and keep moving the machine at a constant speed, to prevent damaging grinding discs and burning the floor.
  • Steel Bars: Avoid protrusions on the ground, such as steel bars.

The inverter programming interface includes several keys with specific functions:

  • PRG (Program/Exit key): Entry or exit programming key.
  • JOG (Jog key): In the mode of display panel control, jog start the Inverter.
  • RUN (Run key): In the mode of display panel control, press this key to run the Inverter.
  • STOP (Stop/Reset key): In the mode of display panel control, to stop the Inverter and reset fault.
  • M (Multi-Function key): Set certain function by F00.12.
  • Up Arrow: Increase key, to increase value or parameter.
  • Down Arrow: Decrease key, to decrease value or parameter.
  • SHF (SHF shift key): Selecting display parameter and shift.
  • ENT (ENT enter/Confirm key): Enter lower menu or confirm saving the data.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of the DELTA 25" grinder. The manual outlines several key maintenance procedures:

  • Daily Cleaning: After each working day, the machine should be cleaned and maintained.
  • Mud and Dust Removal: Remove mud and dust from the machine, especially the grinding disc. Use an air gun or water gun to flush the bottom. Do not flush the electrical parts with the water gun.
  • Oil Change: For 6 months of continuous or intermittent use, the gear oil (2 Liters) must be replaced. Check oil weekly.
  • Grinding Head and Disc Condition: Always check the condition of the grinding head and the grinding disc for damages or wear. When a grinding disc is replaced, it is better to replace all discs at the same time to ensure the quality of the floor.
  • Water Tank Cleaning: Clean water tank every 5-7 days to avoid sediment build up.
  • Storage: When the machine is not in use, it can be cleaned and stored in a safe dry place.
  • Moving the Machine: Insert carry poles, adjust handle to horizontal position, and lift machine as shown in the manual.
