Why am I seeing streaking conditions in the swath of my Woods Lawn Mower?
    • S
      sonya15Jul 25, 2025
Streaking in the swath can occur for several reasons. First, the grass may be too wet, so allow it to dry before mowing. Second, the blades may not be cutting grass pressed down by the tractor tires; try slowing the tractor's ground speed while maintaining full PTO rpm, and cutting lower can also help. Finally, dull blades can cause streaking, so sharpen or replace them.

What to do if the Woods Lawn Mower discharges material unevenly, leaving bunches along the swath?
    • R
      Rita SilvaJul 29, 2025
Uneven discharge and bunching can happen for several reasons. It could be that the material is too high and there's too much of it. Try reducing ground speed while keeping the tractor PTO at 540 RPM, or make two passes, raising the cutter for the first pass and lowering it for the second, cutting at a 90° angle to the first pass. Ensure the rear of the cutter is high enough to discharge material without causing other issues. Also, wet grass can cause this issue, so allow the grass to dry or slow down the tractor while maintaining full PTO rpm, and cutting lower. Lastly, the rear of the cutter might be too low, trapping material. Adjust the cutter height and attitude to resolve this.

How to fix Woods Lawn Mower cutting grass lower in the center of the swath than at the edge?
    • T
      Tony HarrellAug 3, 2025
If the grass is being cut lower in the center of the swath compared to the edge, the height of the cutter might be lower at the rear or front. To fix this, adjust the cutter height and attitude, ensuring the rear and front are within 1/2" of the same height.

Why does my Woods Cutter leave streaks in the swath?
    • E
      eshermanAug 11, 2025
Streaking in the swath when using your Woods Cutter can occur for several reasons. First, the conditions might be too wet for mowing; allow the grass to dry before mowing. Second, the blades might be unable to cut the grass pressed down by the tractor tires; try slowing down the tractor's ground speed while keeping the engine running at full PTO rpm. Lastly, dull blades can also cause streaking; sharpen or replace the blades.

What to do if the Woods Cutter discharges material unevenly?
    • A
      Allison KnightAug 16, 2025
Uneven discharge of material from the Woods Cutter, resulting in bunches along the swath, can be due to several factors. If the material is too high or there is too much of it, reduce ground speed while maintaining 540 RPM at the tractor PTO, or make two passes over the material. Wet grass can also cause this issue, so allow the grass to dry before mowing. Additionally, if the rear of the cutter is too low, it can trap material underneath; adjust the cutter height and attitude accordingly.

How to adjust Woods Cutter if grass is cut lower in the center?
    • K
      Kimberly McfarlandAug 20, 2025
If the Woods Cutter cuts the grass lower in the center of the swath compared to the edge, it may be because the cutter's height is lower at the rear or front. To fix this, adjust the cutter height and attitude so that the cutter's rear and front are within 1/2" of the same height.
