Why is my Woods Lawn Mower leaving streaks?
    • V
      Vincent WalkerAug 6, 2025
If your Woods Lawn Mower is leaving streaks, it might be due to several reasons. The grass might be too wet, so allow it to dry before mowing. The blades may not be cutting the grass pressed down by the tractor tires; try slowing the tractor's ground speed while keeping the engine at full PTO rpm, cutting lower, and adjusting the tractor tire spacing if possible. Dull blades can also cause this, so sharpen or replace them. Finally, check the blade hardware, as a loose blade can also be the culprit.

What to do if material discharges unevenly from my Woods Lawn Mower?
    • T
      Terry RasmussenAug 17, 2025
Uneven discharge and bunching of material from your Woods Lawn Mower can be caused by the material being too high or too much of it. Reduce your ground speed while maintaining 540 RPM at the tractor PTO, or make two passes over the material. For the two passes raise the mower for the first pass and lower it for the second pass, cutting at a 90-degree angle to the first pass. Also, raise the rear of the mower high enough to allow for material discharge. Another cause is wet grass; allow the grass to dry before mowing, and slow the ground speed of the tractor while keeping the engine running at full PTO rpm.

Why does my Woods TURF BATWING TBW12.40 cut lower in the center?
    • D
      David JonesAug 27, 2025
If your Woods Lawn Mower is cutting grass lower in the center of the swath than at the edge, this may be because the mower height is lower at the front than at the rear. In this case, adjust the mower height and attitude so that the rear and front are within 1/2 inch of the same height. Another potential cause is a loose blade, so check the blade hardware.
