Do not let the power cord hang over edge of table or counter.
The power cord plug must match the outlet. This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will t in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not modify the plug in
any way.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the
appliance. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or
entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
Carefully route the power cord to avoid damage from the knife blades while
sharpening.
