Troubleshooting – WRTA 150
Problems Causes Solutions
Arm not
turning
•The safety fence door may not be closed.
•Push arm may not be completely
retracted.
•One of the photoeyes may be blocked or
dirty.
•Arm speed on the control panel is set to
zero (0) or too low for the arm to turn.
•Motor fuses may be burned.
•Pinion holding key or motor shaft key is
broken.
• Close and latch the door.
• Refer to Push Arm problems and the
section on Reed Switches adjustment on
page 26.
• Clear the photoeye and/or clean it.
• Increase the arm speed setting located
on the control panel.
• Check for short, if none change the fuse
using the adequate rating.
• Check rotation mechanism, if in proper
order, change the key.
The reset
sequence does
not stop
• Arm is not at home position and is not
turning.
• Arm is turning but does not stop at
home position.
• Push arm may not be completely
retracted.
• See Arm not turning problem.
• Check if min speed is set too high.
• See Push arm not moving problem.
Breaker
problem
•Overload - short of wire - defective drive • Check for short. If none found, turn
breaker on for one time. If the breaker
jumps again, call your distributor.
Load does not
stop centered
•The system may be set in the pass
through mode.
•The center photoeye may not see the
load
•The infeed safety may not see the load
• Select “Wrapping On” on the touch
screen.
• Clear the photoeye and/or clean it.
• Clear the photoeye and/or clean it.
Carriage. Does
not stop at the
top of the load
•The autoheight may be off.
•The photoeye may reflect on something
in the background.
• Activate the autoheight.
• See Automatic Height Sensing
paragraph.
Push arm is
not moving
•The flow control may need to be
adjusted.
•The cylinder may be defective.
•The valve may be defective.
• Look for kink in the hose. If none,
adjust the valve flow controls.
• Change the defective cylinder.
• Change the defective valve.
Carriage
Does Not Go
Up
•The top limit switch on the carriage may
be activated.
•The carriage speed up may be set to
zero (0) or too low for the carriage to
move.
•Motor fuse may be burned.
• Readjust the limit switch and/or change
the defective switch.
• Increase carriage speed up (located on
the control panel).
• Check for short. If none found, change
the fuse using the appropriate rating.
Carriage stays
at the top
while the arm
continues to
turn
•Carriage speed down may be set to zero
(0).
•Bottom limit switch on the carriage may
be activated.
•The carriage could be stuck on the dead
stops.
• Increase carriage speed down (located
on the control panel).
• Readjust the limit switch or change the
defective switch.
• Pull vigorously on the 2 chains at the
same time someone else presses the
Carriage Up button on the touch screen.
