TIPS FOR DIFFERENTIALS
To make sure that all the air is removed from the diff oil, we recommend
using the HUDY Air Vac.

Lower viscosity oil will increase steering
but reduce traction.
Higher viscosity oil will improve forward
traction and increase stability, but
reduces steering.
If the cross does NOT enter into the
diff freely, use fine sand paper to
lightly polish the ends of the cross.
TO ENSURE YOU HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF OIL FROM REBUILD TO REBUILD, DO THE FOLLOWING:

Fill differential up to the top of the diff pin.
DO NOT fill the diff to the top of the housing.
(INITIAL SETTING)

➊ Put the diff (without oil) on the scale and check the
weight (approximately 12.00g)

Slowly pour oil into the diff and watch the weight. Add 1.50g of oil
into the diff. The approximate weight of the diff including oil is 13.50g.
12.00g + 1.50g = 13.50g
Use tweezers to
insert pin.
