  Reduced flow in your Xylem Water Pump can stem from several causes. Start by cleaning the thru-hull and strainer, closing the valve to remove any debris around the impeller. Next, clean the discharge hose by back-flushing. Check the battery condition and charge if necessary. Replace any kinked discharge hose. Verify that the brown wire (+) is correctly connected to the positive battery terminal. Lastly, try turning the pump off for 15 seconds and then restarting it to resolve a potential partial airlock.

Ensure the pump is below the waterline and the discharge hose runs continuously upward.
