Carefully remove fiber glass spreaders from the VFO variable capacitor using a side cutter and deburr plates.
Loosen grub screws, set capacitor to max capacity, and retighten screws to fix rotation.
Test VFO knob for continuous noise; sudden drop indicates stator plate contact.
