1. Control Unit (DKC-800)
Control Unit, without top cover
The control unit manages all operations
including those operated by the remote
control.
Information is also provided in the display
according to the particular operation. The
control unit sends and receives record and
playback data with the CSP unit and
stores performance data in the internal
Flash memory (128MB).
The unit also controls the CD drive and
manages data from the IN/OUT terminals
of external memory devices (USB drive),
MIDI connections, LAN connections, and
computer connected to the device.
The control unit’s parts and their major
functions are listed below.
・CTRL(Control) Sheet : The control unit’s

・APE(Audio Process Card for E3) Sheet : Controls Ensemble
tone generator, CD audio processing

remote control sensor
・CD drive unit with EXG(exchange) Sheet : CDEXG Sheet
converts CD control signals
・Panel Sheet with EL Display : Assorted buttons and indicators
・ENCD(Encoder) Sheet : Rotary encoder
・JACK Sheet : MIDI terminals, analog input/output jacks
・REG (Regulator) Sheet : Converts voltage supplied by the PS unit
