9 Connect the ground lead of the machine to the
ground (earth) terminal 1 and connect the end to
the ground electrode buried in the ground.

9 Never operate the engine in rain or snow.
9 Never touch the machine with wet hands or electri-
cal shock will occur.
9 Do not operate the engine with a dust cover or
other objects covering it.
9 When covering the generator, be sure to do so only
after the engine and muffler have completely
cooled down.
