Installation
1. Turn the engine switch to “5” (STOP) to prevent
accidental short circuiting.
Battery (For EF5500DE)
(See page 48 for more details)
This generator is designed to be equipped with a
VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) battery. There is
no need to check the electrolyte or to add distilled
water.

2. Place the battery on the battery mount tray.

3. Install the battery mounting rods and battery
mounting plate, and then install and tighten the
wing nuts.

4. Connect the positive lead (Red) to the positive (+)
battery terminal.
