2. After stopping the engine, disconnect the
fuel hose from the fuel joint on the out-
board motor by turning it counterclock-
wise.
3. Install the fuel joint cap on the outboard
motor.
4. Disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel
joint on the fuel tank by turning it counter-
clockwise.
5. Tighten the air vent screw by turning it
clockwise.
6. When using the fuel tank on a boat, close
the fuel valve.
Check the boat’s manual for the position of
the fuel valve.
7. Remove the key if the boat will be left un-
attended.
The engine can also be stopped by pulling the
cord and removing the clip from the engine
shut-off switch, then turning the main switch
to “ ” (off).
