  If your Yamaha Receiver produces no sound, first, ensure all input and output cables are correctly connected; replace them if they are defective. Select an appropriate input source using the INPUT, MULTI CH INPUT button, or the input selector. Make sure speaker connections are secure and the correct front speakers (A and/or B) are selected. Increase the volume and ensure the unit is not muted by pressing the MUTE button. If playing a DTS signal, set the input mode to AUTO or DTS. Finally, ensure the source signals can be reproduced by the unit.

If the unit has been exposed to a strong electric shock, set it to standby, disconnect the power cord for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
