How to fix a Yard force YF1800LR that doesn't reach high pressure?
    • T
      Tanner WheelerAug 16, 2025
If your Yard Force Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, consider the following: * The diameter of the garden hose might be too small. Replace it with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose. * The water supply could be restricted. Check the garden hose for kinks, leaks, and blockages. * There might not be enough water supply. Fully open the water source. * The water inlet filter could be clogged. Remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. * The power nozzle might be in the low-pressure position. Replace it with the desired high-pressure tip. * The pump might be sucking air. Check that hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn off the machine, and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle.

What to do if my Yard force YF1800LR Pressure Washer output pressure varies?
    • M
      Monica JonesAug 19, 2025
If the output pressure of your Yard Force Pressure Washer varies, it could be due to: * Insufficient inlet water supply. Turn the water on fully and inspect the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. * The pump sucking air. Ensure hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn the machine OFF and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the nozzle. * A clogged water inlet filter. Remove the filter and rinse it with warm water. * An obstructed discharge nozzle. Blow out or remove debris with a fine needle. * Calcified gun, hose, or power nozzle. Run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank.

    • T
      tmillerAug 26, 2025

What to do if Yard force YF1800LR Pressure Washer motor buzzes but doesn't run?
    • L
      Leah HartAug 28, 2025
If your Yard Force Pressure Washer motor buzzes but fails to run, consider these possibilities: * The supply voltage may be below the minimum requirement. Verify that only the pressure washer is running on this circuit. * The system may have residual pressure. Turn the unit OFF, squeeze the trigger on the spray wand to release pressure, then turn the unit ON. * Voltage loss may be due to an extension cord. Unplug any extension cords and plug the unit directly into the outlet. * There might be residual friction among components. Disconnect the water supply and power ON for 2 to 3 seconds, repeat a couple of times or until the motor starts.

Why won't my Yard force YF1800LR Pressure Washer motor run?
    • J
      Joshua AbbottSep 3, 2025
If your Yard Force Pressure Washer motor isn't running when it's turned on, fully connected, and the trigger is depressed, several factors could be the cause: * The On/Off switch may be in the “OFF” (O) position. Turn the switch to the “ON” ( I ) position. * The power cord might not be plugged in. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. * The extension cord could be too long, not the proper gauge, or damaged. Replace the extension cord with either a 25’ (7.6 m) 14/3 gauge cord or a 50’ (15 m) 14/3 gauge cord. * The electrical outlet may not supply adequate power. Try a different outlet. * The pressure washer thermal protector might be tripped. Allow the unit to cool, and then restart it.
