How to fix Yard-Man 203 engine that fails to start?
- Jjessica86Jul 30, 2025
There are several possible reasons why your Yard-Man Chippers/Shredders engine might fail to start: * The spark plug wire may be disconnected. Connect it to the spark plug. * The fuel tank may be empty or contain stale fuel. Fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. * The throttle control lever might not be in the correct starting position. Move the throttle lever to the FAST position. * The choke may not be in the CHOKE position (if equipped). Move the choke to the CHOKE position. * The engine (if equipped with a primer) may not be primed properly. Prime the engine. * The fuel line could be blocked. Clean the fuel line. * The spark plug might be faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace it.
