Press to mute the microphone during a call. Press again to un-mute the call.

If there is more than one call on hold, tap the call you want to resume, and press or tap the Resume soft key

Overview

This document provides a quick user guide for the Yealink T54 phone, detailing its core functionalities for call management, conferencing, forwarding, and voicemail.

Placing a Call

To place a call using the handset, simply pick up the handset, enter the desired number, and then press the "Send" soft key. For speakerphone use, press the speakerphone button, enter the number, and then press "Send."

Answering a Call

When a call comes in, you can answer it by picking up the handset or by pressing the speakerphone button. If you wish to decline an incoming call, press the "Reject" soft key.

Ending a Call

To end a call using the handset, either hang up the handset or press the "End Call" soft key. If you are on speakerphone, press the speakerphone button or the "End Call" soft key.

Redial

To redial a number, press the redial button to access the Placed Calls list, then tap the desired entry. Alternatively, when the phone is idle, press the redial button twice to dial the last dialed number.

Missed Calls

To view missed calls, press the "view" soft key, then use the up or down arrow keys to select the desired entry, and finally press the "Send" key to call back.

Call Mute / Un-Mute

During an active call, press the mute button to mute your microphone. To un-mute, press the mute button again.

Call Hold & Resume

To place an active call on hold, press the "Hold" soft key or tap the hold icon. To resume a call, press the "Resume" soft key. If multiple calls are on hold, tap the specific call you wish to resume, and then press the resume icon or the "Resume" soft key.

Call Transfer

The Yealink T54 supports three types of call transfers:

  • Blind Transfer: During an active call, press the "Transfer" soft key. The current call will be placed on hold. Enter the number you want to transfer to, and then press the "BTransfer" soft key to complete the transfer without speaking to the third party.
  • Semi-Attended Transfer: During an active call, press the "Transfer" soft key, which places the call on hold. Enter the number you want to transfer to, and then press "Send." Once you hear the ring-back tone from the third party, press the "Transfer" soft key to complete the transfer.
  • Attended Transfer: During an active call, press the "Transfer" soft key, placing the call on hold. Enter the number you want to transfer to, and then press "Send." Wait for the second party to answer, speak with them, and then press the "Transfer" soft key to complete the transfer.

3-Way Call Conference

To initiate a 3-way conference call:

  1. During an active call, press the "Conference" soft key. The current call will be placed on hold.
  2. Enter the number of the second party and press the "Send" soft key.
  3. Once the second party answers, press the "Conference" soft key again to bring all parties into the conference.
  4. To end the conference call, press the "End Call" soft key or simply hang up. You can also split the conference call into two individual calls by tapping the "Split" soft key.

Call Forwarding

To set up call forwarding:

  1. When the phone is idle, press the "Menu" soft key, then navigate to "Features" -> "Call Forward."
  2. Select the desired forward type:
    • Always Forward: All incoming calls are forwarded unconditionally.
    • Busy Forward: Incoming calls are forwarded when your phone is busy.
    • No Answer Forwarding: Incoming calls are forwarded after a specified period if not answered.
  3. Enter the number to which you want calls forwarded. For "No Answer Forward," you can also specify the ring time before forwarding.
  4. Press the "Save" soft key to apply the changes.

Ring Tones

To customize your ring tone:

  1. When the phone is idle, press the "Menu" soft key.
  2. Select "Basic icon" -> "Sound" -> "Ring Tones."
  3. Use the up or down arrow keys to select "Common" and press "Enter."
  4. Use the up or down arrow keys to select your desired ring tone.
  5. Press the "Save" soft key to save your selection.

Voice Messaging

The Message Waiting Indicator light will illuminate when new messages are available in your message center. The default voicemail password is 362673#. To access your voicemail, press the voicemail button and follow the voice prompts.

Voice Mail Menus

When listening to voicemail, you have several options:

  • 1: Listen to new messages.
  • 5: Access advanced options.
  • *: Exit.

During the Message Menu, you can press:

  • 1: Listen to the message.
  • 2: Save the message.
  • 5: Return the call.
  • 7: Erase the message.
  • 8: Forward the message to another extension.
  • 9: Forward to email.

Advanced Options (accessed by pressing 5 from the main menu):

  • 1: Record a greeting (up to 9 different recordings).
  • 2: Choose a greeting.
  • 3: Record your name.
  • 6: Change your password.
  • 0: Return to the main menu.
