What to do if York Inverter shows “High Discharge Pressure or Compressor Overload” fault?
    • B
      briannaadamsAug 10, 2025
If your York Inverter displays a “High Discharge Pressure or Compressor Overload” fault, several issues could be the cause. Start by checking the condenser fans to ensure they are functioning correctly and blowing air in the right direction. Also, too much refrigerant can cause this issue, so have some removed. Additionally, air in the refrigerant system, a defective discharge pressure switch, a locked compressor motor, or an open compressor internal motor protector could be the culprits. In the last case, verify refrigerant charge, superheat setting, compressor rotation and if the compressor is overloaded.

What to do if York YVAG040 Inverter shows “Low Suction Pressure” Fault?

      Kristopher WeissAug 17, 2025
If your York Inverter displays a “Low Suction Pressure” fault, several things could be wrong. It might be due to a low refrigerant charge, which would require you to repair any leaks and add refrigerant. The BPHE could be fouled or clogged, needing a cleaning. Also, check the EEV wiring or consider replacing the EEV if it's defective. Reduced chilled liquid flow, a defective suction pressure transducer/low pressure switch or wiring, or non-operating fans (in heating mode) could also be the cause. In the case of reduced chilled liquid flow, check the liquid flow rate, pump operation, clean the pump strainer and purge the chilled liquid system of air. If the fans are not operating, check the fan wiring and communication.

      Mark MoralesAug 26, 2025
If your York Inverter displays a “Chiller Water Flow” Fault, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the chilled liquid flow. Second, too much air in the piping system can cause this, so purge the air through a release valve. Third, ensure the flow switch is installed correctly according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lastly, the flow switch itself might be defective and need replacement.

Why York Inverter has no display on wire controller and won't operate?
    • R
      Robert ReedSep 2, 2025
If your York Inverter wire controller has no display and the unit won't operate, there could be a few reasons. First, there might be no power from the microboard to the 12VDC wire controller, so check the microboard power supply and wiring. Second, there might be no 230VAC to the microboard, so check the power supply and wiring to the microboard. Third, the communication wire between the wire controller and the unit might be defective, so check the communication wiring and contact YORK Service before replacing circuit boards!
