MOUNTING GUIDELINES
Camera Housing
The X1 Camera comes with a protective camera housing
and two types of back windows:
The standard back window makes the camera housing
IP68 rated - dustproof, dirtproof, sandproof and
waterproof up to 196 feet / 60 metres. Best for use in
hazardous environments.
The open window provides better sound quality and
easier viewing during playback. It will not however
protect against dust, sand, dirt or water. Best for use
inside vehicles and other non-hazardous environments.
To swap a back window:
1. Swing open the back window so that it hangs downwards.
2. Firmly pull the back window down until it snaps free from the main camera
housing.
3. Slide the pin out, and slide it into the two hinges of the replacement back
window.
4. Line up the replacement back window with the hinge opening of the camera
housing.
5. Push upwards on the replacement back window until it clicks into place.
Ensure to keep all rubber seals clean and free from hair, dirt and WARNING:
grains of sand that could cause leaks and damage to your camera and the
battery. To clean the seals, remove the back window and rinse with non-salt
water, shaking dry.
