This document is an operating and installation manual for the Zanussi Built-In Oven, Model ZBF 760. It provides comprehensive information for both users and installers, covering safety, operation, technical specifications, and maintenance.
Function Description:
The Zanussi ZBF 760 is a built-in electric oven designed for cooking edible foodstuffs. Its primary functions include fan-ducted cooking, grilling, and defrosting. The oven is equipped with an electronic timer that can indicate the time of day, operate as a minute minder, and automatically control oven operation (switching on and off). The fan-ducted cooking feature allows for roasting and baking simultaneously on any shelf without flavor transference, thanks to the circulation of hot air by a fan located behind the back panel. The grill function utilizes a top heating element for browning and searing. The defrost setting uses the oven fan to circulate air at room temperature, speeding up the thawing process for delicate foods.

Maintenance Features:
- General Cleaning: The oven should be kept clean at all times to prevent fat and foodstuff build-up, which could lead to fire. Cleaning should only be done after the oven has cooled down and the electrical supply is switched off.
- External Cleaning: Control panel, oven door, and door seal should be wiped with a soft cloth wrung out in warm soapy water.
- Oven Cavity Cleaning: Best cleaned while still warm with a soft cloth and soapy water. For stubborn soilage, a proprietary oven cleaner can be used. A specific process involving boiling water in the grill pan can soften splatters.
- Oven Shelves: Can be soaked in warm soapy water and cleaned with a soap-impregnated pad.
- Grease Filter: Must be fitted over the vents in the back panel to prevent fat build-up on the fan impellor. It is dishwasher-proof and should be removed by pushing the protruding tongue upward for cleaning.
- Oven Light Replacement: The bulb (15W, 220-240V, E14, 300°C resistant) can be replaced by pushing in and turning the glass cover anticlockwise.
- Door Glass Cleaning: Clean with warm soapy water. Avoid household detergents, bleaches, abrasive pads, steel wool, chemical oven pads/aerosols, rust removers, or bath/sink stain removers, especially when the glass is warm, to prevent damage or shattering. Chipped or deeply scratched glass must be replaced.
