- Refrigerant: Isobutane (R600a), a flammable gas.
- Ambient Temperature Range: 10°C to 43°C for correct operation.
- Freezer Compartment Rating: **** (four stars), indicating suitability for freezing fresh food and long-term storage of frozen food.
- Electrical Connection: The appliance must be earthed and compatible with domestic power supply voltage and frequency.
- Spare Parts Availability: Thermostats, temperature sensors, printed circuit boards, light sources, door handles, door hinges, trays, and baskets will be available for 7 years after the model is discontinued. Door gaskets will be available for 10 years.
Usage Features:
- Control Panel:
- Alarm light
- Power indicator light
- Fast Freeze indicator
- Fast Freeze / Alarm reset button
- Temperature regulator
- Switching On/Off: Insert the plug and turn the temperature regulator clockwise to a medium setting to switch on. Turn the regulator to the 'off' position to switch off. The power indicator light remains on until disconnected from the power socket.
- Temperature Regulation: The temperature is automatically regulated, but users can adjust it using the temperature regulator. Turning clockwise lowers the temperature, counterclockwise raises it. A medium setting is generally recommended.
- FastFreeze Function: Activates pre-freezing and fast freezing. It accelerates freezing of fresh food and protects existing frozen food from warming. It should be activated at least 24 hours before placing fresh food for freezing. The function stops automatically after 52 hours but can be manually deactivated.
- High Temperature Alarm: An alarm light flashes and a sound activates if the internal temperature increases (e.g., due to power failure or open door). The sound can be silenced by pressing the alarm reset button.
- Freezing Fresh Food: No need to change the present setting for freezing fresh food. Activate FastFreeze 24 hours prior. Store food evenly in the first and second compartments/drawers from the top. Maximum freezing capacity is specified on the rating plate.
- Storage of Frozen Food: The freezer compartment is suitable for all frozen food products. Medium temperature setting ensures good preservation. Leave space for air circulation. Refer to food packaging for shelf life. Wrap food to prevent water/humidity ingress.
- Thawing: Frozen food can be thawed in the refrigerator or in a plastic bag under cold water. Small pieces can be cooked from frozen.
- Shopping Tips: Ensure packaging is undamaged, transport frozen goods in an insulated bag, and place them in the freezer immediately after shopping. Do not refreeze partially defrosted food.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning the Interior: Before first use, and periodically, clean the interior and accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap. Do not use abrasive products, solvents, or metal objects.
- Door Seals: Regularly check and wipe door seals clean to ensure they are free from debris.
- Defrosting the Freezer:
- Defrost when the frost layer reaches 3-5 mm thickness.
- About 12 hours prior to defrosting, set a lower temperature to build up chill reserve.
- Switch off the appliance or unplug it.
- Remove stored food and place it in a cool area.
- Leave the door open. Protect the floor from defrost water.
- Place a pot of warm water inside to speed up defrosting.
- Use the supplied ice scraper to remove ice pieces.
- Insert the plastic scraper into the bottom center seating with a basin underneath to collect water.
- Dry the valve and slot in the rear wall, ensuring the valve is completely dry before re-inserting.
- Thoroughly dry the interior after defrosting.
- Switch on the appliance, close the door, and set the temperature regulator to maximum coldness for at least 3 hours before returning food.
- Caution: Never use sharp metal tools or mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- Period of Non-Operation: For long periods of disuse, disconnect from electricity, remove all food, defrost, clean, and leave the door open to prevent smells.
- Drain Maintenance: Regularly examine and clean the appliance's drain to prevent defrosted water collection.
- Door Reversibility: Instructions for door reversal are provided in a separate document.
- Disposal: Disconnect from mains, cut off the cable, remove the door, and dispose of the appliance according to municipal authority guidelines. The refrigerant circuit and insulation materials are ozone-friendly.
