- Vegetable Drawer: A dedicated drawer in the bottom part of the appliance is provided for storing fruits and vegetables.
- Food Storage Recommendations:
- Cover food with packaging to preserve freshness and aroma.
- Use closed containers for liquids and food to avoid flavor or odor transfer.
- Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers, separate from other food.
- Defrost food inside the fridge.
- Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before inserting.
- Place new stock behind old stock to prevent food waste.
- Meat (all types) should be wrapped and placed on the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer for 1-2 days.
- Fruits and vegetables should be cleaned thoroughly and placed in the vegetable drawer. Exotic fruits (bananas, mangos, papayas) and vegetables (tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic) should generally not be kept in the refrigerator.
- Butter and cheese should be placed in airtight containers or wrapped in foil/polythene bags.
- Bottles should be closed with a cap and placed on the door bottle shelf or bottle rack.
- Always refer to product expiry dates.
- Energy Saving Tips:
- Optimal energy use is achieved with drawers in the bottom and evenly distributed shelves.
- Avoid frequent or prolonged door openings.
- Do not set excessively low temperatures unless necessary.
- If ambient temperature is high, temperature control is low, and the appliance is full, adjust temperature higher to allow automatic defrosting and save energy.
- Ensure good ventilation by not covering grilles or holes.
- Door Reversibility: The door can be reversed; refer to the separate installation document for instructions.
Maintenance Features
- Cleaning the Interior: Before first use, wash the interior and accessories with lukewarm water and neutral soap, then dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive products, chlorine, or oil-based cleaners. Accessories are not dishwasher safe.
- Periodic Cleaning: Clean the inside and accessories regularly with lukewarm water and neutral soap. Check and wipe door seals to ensure they are clean and free of debris. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Defrosting: Frost is automatically eliminated from the refrigerator evaporator. Defrost water drains into a container over the motor compressor where it evaporates.
- Defrost Water Drain Hole: Periodically clean the drain hole under the salad drawers using the provided tube cleaner to prevent water overflow.
- Cleaning Air Channels: Remove the plinth and ventilation grid, then carefully pull out the air deflector to clean it and the lower part of the appliance with a vacuum cleaner.
- Period of Non-Operation: For long periods of non-use, disconnect from electricity, remove all food, clean the appliance and accessories, and leave the door open to prevent unpleasant smells.
- Lamp Replacement: The appliance is equipped with a long-life LED interior light. If replacement is needed, disconnect the plug, remove the lamp cover with a screwdriver, replace the bulb with an identical E14 LED bulb, reassemble, and reconnect.
- Closing the Door: Clean door gaskets. If necessary, adjust the door (refer to installation instructions) or replace defective door gaskets by contacting the Authorized Service Centre.
