ensure that improper use, incorrect installation and impermissible use are excluded;
ensure that there is sufficient lighting in accordance with applicable regulations (par-
ticularly ASR A3.4 Lighting) so that actuators and control and display devices are easy
to read;
determine the operating conditions and define the product specification for indoor or
outdoor use before using the height-adjustable access steps with platform;
check the suitability of the substrate before commissioning.
1.5 Notes for the user
The product may only be assembled, dismantled, used and maintained if the following re-
quirements are met:
The user is not under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication that can impair the
ability to react.
To avoid overexertion due to unhealthy posture, the platform height must be adjusted to
the optimal ergonomic height before use.
The user has carefully read and understood these instructions before assembling the
product and using it for the first time.
The user must be familiar with the accident prevention regulations applicable in the
country of use as well as regulations concerning the safe assembly, dismantling, use
and maintenance of ladders and steps.
Personnel undergoing training may only use the product under the supervision of or
when authorised to do so by an experienced person.
Operating staff may only perform maintenance work on the product if authorised to do
so by the operator.
1.6 Liability/Guarantee/Warranty
The manufacturer is not liable for any damages caused by the following:
Improper storage
Improper assembly, dismantling, operation and maintenance
Inadequate maintenance
Improper use
The warranty period begins on the date of delivery. The statutory warranty periods apply
unless otherwise stipulated in the contract.
Unauthorised modifications to the product will void all guarantee, warranty and liability
claims.
Additional attachment parts may only be installed after consultation with ZARGES.
The technical specifications in these instructions must be observed in order for a statu-
tory warranty claim to be fully valid.
Only original replacement parts may be used. When ordering, the customer-specific
serial number must be specified on the type plate.
