Automatic Discovery
Automatically seek and detect Zebra printers on your network across the WAN and on 802.11b wireless
networks with ZebraNet Bridge Enterprise. Configure the software to search by local broadcast, subnet,
multicast, IP address, or a range of IP addresses. Administrators can view all Zebra printers in the enterprise
from a single PC console.
Remote Configuration
Manage all your Zebra label printers throughout the enterprise without having to travel to remote sites or physi-
cally handle any printers. Any Zebra printer connected to the enterprise network can be accessed from the
ZebraNet Bridge Enterprise interface and configured remotely through an easy-to-use graphical user interface.
Configuration Copy and Printer Profiles
Copy and paste settings from one printer to another or broadcast them to an entire group. ZebraNet Bridge
Enterprise allows you to copy printer settings, printer-resident files (formats, fonts, and graphics), and alerts
with a click of the mouse. Create printer profiles—virtual “golden printers”—with desired settings, objects,
and alerts, and clone or broadcast them as if they were real printers, providing extensive savings in setup
time. Printer profiles are also an excellent way to back up a printer’s configuration for crisis recovery.
Printer Group Management
Create and define logical groups for printer management by location, printer type, or application. Avoid
redundant and time-intensive printer configuration by communicating to specific printer groups or the entire
printer population, allowing location- or application-specific changes across the enterprise.
View and Change Settings
Remotely view and configure printer settings via the easy-to-use ZebraNet Bridge Enterprise graphical user
interface. Remote configuration goes beyond changing settings—supporting firmware, font, and graphics
downloads to the printer. Memory on a Zebra printer can be viewed and managed similar to printer settings.
This feature is useful for verifying label formats, fonts, and graphics stored on printers.
Compare Printers and Communications Window
Optimize printer configuration with the Compare Printers feature, which allows you to view printer and print
server settings, as well as memory content, side by side. Use the Communications Window to make a direct
connection to your networked and local Zebra printers to send commands and view printer responses.
Heartbeat Monitoring and Status Information
Continuously monitor and report printer status in real time with no action required through the application
heartbeat. The heartbeat monitoring feature provides the necessary information for proactive management
and reliable performance in mission-critical operations through visual status icons in the application’s group
management window.
Printer Alerts and Event Notification
Configure printers to send unsolicited alerts if media runs out, media is low, or other printer events occur.
Receive alerts and notifications by e-mail, cell phone/pager, or through the ZebraNet Bridge Enterprise
Events tab. View alerts by printer or group, and filter by date/time, severity, or trigger.
Visual Alerts Management
View your entire printer enterprise from one screen. When a flashing icon alerts you to potential issues, dou-
ble-click to drill down and identify the troubled printer, its location in your facility, and first-level troubleshoot-
ing information. Once the printer is identified, detailed printer status information is available via the Status tab.
