1. Remove baffl e fi lters by: 1) Pulling fi lter toward
front of insert. 2) Pivoting rear of fi lter down.
2. Remove grease tray by: 1) Pulling up on tray to
release from bottom panel. 2) Lifting tray out of
insert body.
3. (AK9228AS Only) Remove left and right side-
spacer panels by removing (2) screws from
behind each panel.

4. Remove bottom panel by: 1) Removing (2)
screws from left and right sides of bottom panel.
2) Pulling bottom panel toward front of insert to
release from locking tabs.
6. Vertical ducting preparation is complete. Refer to
page 10, step 4 to complete installation.
5. Secure 8” round adaptor to top of insert by (4)
M4 x 6mm screws.
