Quick Start Guide
The "ZY Play" app is a very important part of the
stabilizer. Please search for "ZY Play" in the mobile
app store or scan the QR code on the mobile
phone to download and install (Android 5.0 or
above, iOS 9.0 or above required).
About Complete User Guide
To protect the environment and reduce resource consumption, we now
offer you a paper version of Quick Start Guide instead of Complete User
Guide. Before using this product, you can read the Complete User
Guide through following ways：
1. Scan the QR code on the right side by applying
the mobile browser “scan code” function.
2. Click the ••• icon on the top right corner of the
home page of the corresponding product in ZY Play.
3. Go to ZHIYUN official website:
www.zhiyun-tech.com for download.
Please follow the steps below to learn the basic functions of CRANE-M2
and read the Complete User Guide carefully before using the product.
1.Tripod Installation
• Mount the stabilizer on the tripod and
unfold the tripod on a flat surface.
2.Camera Installation
Take Sony-DSC-RX100M5 Camera as example:
1. Take out the quick release plate, mount the camera on the plate
and then tighten the 1/4" screw at its bottom.
2. Slide the installed quick release plate into the quick release
module. Push the quick release plate towards the tilt axis motor
but not close to the motor. Tighten the quick release plate thumb
screw after the safety lock is engaged.

is for fixing mirrorless cameras, while
the short slot is for fixing compact
cameras (Fuji mirrorless camera can
be fixed in the short slot).
②Before mounting the camera,
make sure the camera is ready for
work. Remove the lens cap and
make sure the camera’s battery and
memory card are already inserted.

The pan axis arm is installed with a latch. Please unlock the pan axis
before using the stabilizer and lock it when not in use.
When the stabilizer is idle, fold the arm as shown in the picture
below and tighten the thumb screw on the roll axis motor.

3.Balance Adjustment
• Loosen the 1/4'' screw at the bottom of the
quick release plate. Hold the tilt axis arm
lightly and push the camera to move forward
or backward until the camera can stay still and
almost level with its lens facing front (as
shown in the picture).Complete this step by
tightening up the screw.
• Make the lens face up, slightly loosen the
thumb screw of the tilt axis and push the
camera to move forward or backward until
the camera can stay still with the lens facing
up as shown on the right. Complete this step
by tightening up the thumb screw.
• Loosen the thumb screw of the quick release
plate and move the plate to the right to make
the camera close to the motor (i.e.move the
quick release plate to the far right end). This
step is for convenient setup and balance for the
next time.
