INDICATIONS FOR USE
The Zimmer® Electric Dermatome is a skin grafting instrument that is intended to provide variable graft
thickness and width capabilities.
DESCRIPTION
The Zimmer Electric Dermatome (See Fig. 1) is an electrically-powered surgical skin grafting instrument.
The thickness control adjustment ranges from 0 to 0.030 in. (0.75 mm) in 0.002 in. (0.050 mm)
increments. Individual graft widths of 1 in., 1.5 in., 2 in., 3 in. and 4 in. (2.5 cm, 3.8 cm, 5.1 cm, 7.6 cm,
10.2 cm) are obtained with five width plates. Two stainless steel machine screws secure the plates to the

The dermatome is powered by an ironless rotor, low inertia motor, which provides nearly vibration-free
power.
